About the position
Council's People and Culture Department is looking for a strategic and experienced leader for a Coordinator People Services position.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a proactive business partnering service that provides professional, timely, management and advice of the employee lifecycle;
  • Leading Council's industrial and employee relations processes and issues;
  • Leading People and Culture's reporting function, ensuring that Management and Executive are provided with people management data that informs strategic decision making;
  • Improving day to day organisational effectiveness through the development and implementation of generalist people management practices to improve productivity and drive a performance and values based culture; and
  • Ensuring Council complies with and meets its obligations under all relevant employment related legislation and Regulations.
This is a full-time position.

About you

  • Relevant qualifications in Business, People and Culture, Psychology, Industrial Relations or a related field;
  • Extensive experience in a senior People and Culture leadership function in a dynamic and diverse organisation including experience in dealing with complex employee and industrial relations cases;
  • Relevant experience in leading and mentoring teams;
  • Experience developing and maintaining a People and Culture reporting Framework;
  • Ability to manage organisational wide change projects from conception to implementation; and
  • Experience in a public sector environment, preferably local government, is desirable.
