The team of the High-Risk Offender Management Unit (HROMU), based in Brisbane and Townsville, is accountable for supervising offenders under a supervision order as per the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (DPSOA) across Queensland and monitoring parolees electronically. The unit consists of the following work groups:

  • HROMU Strategic Risk and Support, including the Clinical Support Unit
  • HROMU Operations SEQ, situated in Wacol
  • HROMU Central to Far Northern, located in Townsville
  • The Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance Unit (EMSU), in charge of GPS monitoring of DPSOA offenders and parolees under supervision statewide
