The Role

Join this growing financial services firm an award winning brand as a Compliance Manager, a pivotal role within their Line 2 Compliance team. Primary responsibilities will be to ensure adherence to applicable legislation, regulations, and industry standards.

This role is designed for a proactive, solution-oriented compliance expert with the ability to interpret complex regulatory legislation and input it into practical business operations. You will have deep knowledge of compliance frameworks, breach reporting and the ability to drive regulatory change initiatives. The role will have the opportunity to lead legislation changes around privacy and FAR - experience across these isn't essential.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Continue developing and maintaining compliance management frameworks that align with the organisation's goals.
  • Provide Compliance Advice to Line 2 on all Compliance matters.
  • Co-ordinate and lead compliance training to the business.
  • Be part of key compliance team for regulatory change projects as required.
  • Assist with Risk reporting to exec leadership team and boards.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5-10+ years of Compliance experience in Financial Services (Insurance/ Banking preferred) or a qualified lawyer with a solid understanding of Australian legislative and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, including design and implementation.
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in appropriate field.
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting, including breach reporting.
  • Some experience of driving compliance based regulatory change projects from a business lens would be desirable.
  • Privacy/ABC/Sanctions knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
