Position Purpose

  • This person will deliver 'Pretender' and 'Bid & Tender Response' management Contracts / Tenders. The purpose is to deliver higher level of service to internal & external customer to get results & efficiencies of processes.
  • The role will have influence in crafting J&J MedTech's tactical & operational objectives in the customer contracting space.
    Bids and Tenders Response
  • Lead tender submissions in conjunction with sales, marketing, SCG and relevant functional partners
  • Establish project plans, time schedules and planning
  • Establish structure and response strategies with external customer and key internal partners
  • Verify technical compliance with tender and compile deviation lists, technical specifications & other technical bid documents
  • Compile commercial bid in cooperation with commercial analyst and management
  • Arrange for crosscheck of terms by Legal Services
  • Crafting accurate written responses to deliver high quality proposals ensuring Brand Value Proposition is clearly articulated in tender responses
  • Manage Bid clarifications and negotiations with customers
  • Lead contract award process post submission including T&C discussions with customers & legal, award notification and implementation.

Pre-tender

  • Preparation of strategic advice / briefing papers in advance of a tender release, including customer and business unit strategy development, projections of resources and expertise engagement
  • Proactively initiate pretender phase (Discover Phase) with internal and external contract officers (e.g. performance reporting and analysis, market intel, workshops for option generation, scenario planning)

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum education: Degree in a business
  • Preferred area of study: Business, Science, Marketing, Procurement
  • Preferred related experience: Tender response, procurement, Legal
  • Preferred industry experience: Medical Devices, Healthcare
  • Minimum 5 years business experience
