The Role:

bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our passionate and supportive team at Mainview Boulevard Family Centre as a Centre Manager.

This position will see you performing the roles of Nominated Supervisor for the service.


Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful applicant will ensure the centre delivers operational service and quality to our children, our team members, and our families whilst taking ownership of the centre including financial success and driving expected organisational outcomes.

Help foster and drive the community centre to build an ongoing and sustainable group of clientele that is in line with the needs of the Tarneit community.


Working in collaboration with key functional partners Early Years Manager, RTO Manager, Children's Therapy Services, Marketing, People and Culture and Finance the Centre Coordinator is accountable to deliver the range of family and community programs.


You will stand out if you are:

  • Self-motivated with high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage own workday, be flexible and responsive to changing work practices
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, support, motivate and manage staff to reach their potential
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with a team who have diverse levels of experience and qualifications
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the Reggio Emilia Project Approach and other contemporary early years influences an advantage
  • Demonstrate commitment and ability to maintaining an up to date understanding of the latest and most respected early childhood theories and practices in long day care and kindergarten environments
  • Possess experience in supporting a kindergarten program and long day care program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years desirable

In addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) or several years in Early Childhood Educations and Care Administration or Management.
  • Previous experience in leading a service providing highquality education and
  • A valid working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A sound working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
