We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Violence Caseworker to become an integral part of a non-profit organization situated in the vibrant community of South West Sydney.
Operating within a person-centred and trauma-informed framework, you'll facilitate access to information and support over a defined period, contributing to positive outcomes for those accessing the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive case management, safety planning and coordinated care for women and children.
- Conduct holistic assessments for eligible clients, identifying individual needs and connecting them with relevant health and community supports.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and regularly review individual care plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Uphold the values of respect and independence, fostering client selfdetermination.
- Contribute to the oncall service ona 68 month rotating roster
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Essential knowledge of the impact of domestic violence on women and children, child protection and housing
- Familiarity with the local service system and government/nongovernment services.
- Preferred community services qualification at Diploma level.
- 2+ years of experience in the field of domestic violence or child protection
- Desirable background in working with vulnerable young people and their families.
- Ability to identify and respond to risk.
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
- Full Australian driver's license.
