Work involves performance of skilled Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration tasks in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing a variety of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and ventilation systems for the entire campus to include on- and off- site. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime. Daily inspections and maintenance of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and ventilation systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace equipment and systems as directed. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Maintain and submit records regarding time and materials expended on projects. Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean and orderly condition. Carry rotating cellphone for after-hours emergency calls – may be required to work evenings and weekends in an emergency. Hurricane preparedness and cleanup. Additional Duties as assigned Brevard County HVAC Journeyman's License preferred or ability to obtain State of Florida driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record by Florida Tech insurance guidelines 10 hour OSHA certification (preferred) EPA 608 Universal refrigerant recovery certification

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.

Florida Tech's 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public properly within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.

The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.
