Your Role:

  • Collaborating closely with the SWIL Lab Manager for AIR6500 to actively contribute to the technical ICT objectives for the AIR6500 Software Integration Laboratory (SWIL) utilizing ITIL processes.
  • Serving as a Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program and other System Administrators on ICT Systems.

Your Profile:

  • Hold a Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a relevant business discipline, in addition to ICT industry certifications and extensive experience in a similar role within the defence sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technologies such as Linux, Windows, troubleshooting communications networks, deployment of new hardware, cooling paradigms in computing environments, and networking standards.
  • Proven track record in supporting, investigating, diagnosing, and resolving ICT-related technical issues across physical and virtualized environments, applications, various OS, and database systems.
  • Proficiency in using Ansible, git, scripting languages, and automation for deploying and managing ICT systems, as well as administering complex ICT solutions for defence setups while collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Knowledge of ICT Infrastructure configuration, management, monitoring tools, and hardware configuration tools.
  • Understanding of Configuration Management and Change Management processes.

Special Requirements:

Due to the necessity of an NV1 security clearance, candidates must be Australian Citizens to qualify and uphold this level of security clearance.
