The Company

Our client has multiple farming operations in Northern Victoria, NSW and Queensland, with the business being driven by utilising the latest production and processing techniques through technology adoption and regenerative agricultural practices that build soil carbon focusing on generating superior yields across its farming assets.

Their Asset in Central Victoria (4,400ha) has a combination of production activities being, broadacre cropping (dryland and irrigated), permanent horticulture, livestock and regenerative based product manufacture.


The Position

The function of the role is to be accountable for the operating performance of the properties Cropping as well as sheep enterprises alongside the Farm Manager.

This will encompass the following key areas (but not limited to);

  • Active role in the development of yearly farm production plans
  • Coordinate with the Farm manager to ensure the proficient and timely implementation of the farm production plans across all business units including Broadacre Cropping, Livestock, and Liquid Biofertiliser Facility
  • Manage weekly workflow planning and execute tasks in a timely manner
  • Liaise with third party advisors such as agronomist and livestock agents, ensure their advice is documented and key agreed actions executed in a timely manner
  • General farm maintenance and operational duties including fence repairs to maintain stock proofing, equipment use and maintenance
  • Responsibility of accurate and timely AgWorld data entry updating jobs as completed.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will have a current drivers licence and ideally have held a production based role, ideally in a cropping or mixed farming enterprise.

You may also be a technical agronomist looking to move into an operational management role.

You will have sound understanding of management practices and regardless of your experience, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude in decision-making and problem solving and have an innate vigilance for setting and maintaining high standards.
