About the Role


As a Support Worker/Youth Worker you will be working across our Homeless and Community Services (HCS) including Youth, Women's and Men's programs, you'll provide high-quality care and support to those facing homelessness or at risk.

You'll help break the cycle of homelessness through personalized support, advocacy, and skill development.

This role will work in across all programs and be involved with the three teams.


This is a
Casual Role and will require flexibility as these services operate 24/7 and may require nightshifts, weekends and public holidays.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to care planning.
  • Maintain high standards of conduct and performance.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Actively engage in performance management and continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to Uniting's values, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive working environment.

Your Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, or a relevant field Ideal but not required.
  • First Aid Certificate.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience working with Youth, Men's or Woman's and Children's Mental Health.
  • Proficiency in working with vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Specialist Homelessness funded Services.
  • Computer skills for timely and accurate client information.

  • Identify and Respond to Risk of Harm training
  • Cultural Awareness training
  • Mental Health First Aid
