in the search for their Chief Executive Officer.


MIEACT is a vibrant and well-respected ACT not-for-profit (NFP) that works hard to achieve the organisation's vision that people are empowered through education to sustain mental health and wellbeing.

They strive to deliver this through embracing the lived experience of the community and volunteers to provide mental health education programs in schools, workplaces and the wider community to address stigma, increase knowledge and to promote help seeking and open conversations about mental health.

Key to this role is looking at the potential for

diversification of revenue . Your

commercial acumen


and experience in developing new partnerships and channels of funding and sponsorship/donations are areas that you have proven success in.

You

understand the NFP sector


and the nuances of running a business in this space but also bring enough experience in a commercial setting to know how best to position MIEACT for growth as they strive to expand program delivery, including into workplaces, and to develop outside the ACT.

Stakeholder management

is your super-power. You know how to foster a strong bond with the Board, positioning yourself as a

trusted leader

that they can rely on to deliver.

Externally you will focus on strengthening existing bonds and building new bonds with those who align with the values and mission of MIEACT.

Last but by no means least, you are a true leader capable of

fostering a positive team culture

and bringing

energy and empathy

to the leadership of continuing and casual staff, and a loyal and dedicated base of volunteers.

You are coming into an organisation with solid foundations and a highly engaged team of people motivated to deliver outcomes for the community and to attract more organisations in Canberra, and beyond, to MIEACT's unique program offerings.


What an opportunity to move into a non-profit CEO role that allows you to bring your commercial acumen to the table to diversify revenue and see a direct impact on the community.

You might be a seasoned CEO ready for your next challenge, or a skilled general manager looking for their first CEO opportunity.

Either way you bring strong leadership; experience in managing budgets and P&L's; proven track record in developing new revenue streams; and a calm, empathetic and even-tempered approach to all you do.

This position is available as a

three-year full-time appointment , located in

Canberra . An attractive salary package is on offer and PBI salary packaging is applicable.
