The Senior Financial Accountant role involves taking charge of financial accounting and statutory reporting at Zip, working closely with various teams. Embrace this opportunity at our stunning Sydney office, where flexibility is key.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial accounting and statutory reporting
  • Partner with different teams to ensure financial integrity
  • Lead group audit processes and statutory financial statements preparation
  • Manage debt compliance and support other finance teams
  • Provide analysis for senior management and investor relations
  • Implement improved processes and policies for continuous enhancement
  • Lead finance system improvement projects and support ad-hoc analysis
  • Train and develop your team's technical and soft skills
  • Ensure controls in processes for accurate financial information flow
  • Write memos for accounting and business issues
  • Support banking and payments processes

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of finance and accounting experience
  • Experience in financial control and process improvement
  • Adaptability to changing environments
  • Excellent communication skills for remote team collaboration
  • Strong relational and leadership abilities
