As a member of the Economic and Financial Policy Division, you will be required, both individually and as a member of a team, to undertake economic research, analysis and investigations, and prepare major correspondence, reports and submissions.

About You

We are looking for a motivated, interested and capable individual with lots of potential to join our small team. You will work as part of a highly skilled team of professionals and because of this and the broad range of issues that we deal with on a day-to-day basis, you will have plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and experience. We have no preconceived view on the best background for this role but are very focussed on your capacity to do the job and develop in the role.

The primary role of the Economic Policy Branch is to provide high quality advice on a broad range of economic and financial issues. The Branch is also responsible for monitoring the Tasmanian economy and assisting with the analysis and evaluation of policy proposals within a cost-benefit framework.
