The Role

We have a permanent part-time opportunity for an Injury Management (Return to Work) Consultant to work in our team.

As a hybrid working role bring balance between work and home, this position will located in Richmond along with occasional travel to other metro sites and occasionally to Geelong.


This role will be required to effectively manage workers compensation claims and return-to-work from end-to-end in addition to supporting the management of workplace injuries.

This role will ensure injured employees are provided with the highest level of support to assist with their recovery and achieve suitable and sustained return to work, whilst also providing expertise advice and guidance to support managers and supervisors with managing staff injuries and promote Epworth's Early Intervention Program.

About You

You are an experienced injury management professional with an occupational rehabilitation background, claims management and/or return to work.

You will demonstrate a good understanding of the workers compensation legislation in addition to showcasing your creativity and ability to manage complex claims.

You will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and communication skills, be highly organised and time efficient and be able to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member.

What You Need

  • A tertiary qualification in Allied Health or Nursing or equivalent discipline, would be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and the use of the Microsoft office suite software.
  • Experience and understanding of a safety management and/or claims management system
  • Current driver's licence is desirable
