The Team

You will be part of a team of highly skilled legal and administrative professionals. Our Insurance & Health department is headed up by 33 well-respected principals across six states. Within the insurance space our award-winning team is known for producing high quality advice and delivering exceptional client service.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join our Insurance (CTP team) in a full time capacity in our Sydney office. The team handles matters from single to multi-vehicle accident claims, common whiplash through to major and catastrophic injury claims, complex liability disputes and strongly contested damages claim. The principal that heads up the team for this position is Henry Silvester.

Duties of this role will include:
- File management – opening/closing files and filing/e-filing;
- Adhering to client service standards;
- Preparation of correspondence and legal documents in consultation with authors;
- Broad range of client communication and management;
- Preparation of briefs;
- Monthly billing and reporting;
- General diary management, including arranging client appointments and other events;
- General administrative support.

The Successful Candidate

This role will suit a candidate with the following:
- 5 + years Legal experience;
- Previous experience in defendant insurance litigation;
- Experience with Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 is desirable;
- Experience using precedent, billing and file management programs;
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to work;
- Strong communication skills; and
- Ability to build strong internal relationships.
