Our Hamilton site in Newcastle is home to our Social Activity Group, a planned activity group which aims to maintain an older person to continue living at home and in the community.

EACH Social Activity Groups offer a planned program of structured activities that also provides respite and support for their carers.

The Team Leader is a key leadership position where you will have the opportunity to support a team to work alongside older adults whilst in the supported social activity group.

You will be part of a highly collaborative and supportive team that provides a consistent high quality Customer centric service.


  • As the Team Lead your duties will include:_
  • Managing, training and supporting a team of staff to enable them to carry out their responsibilities and deliver a client focussed service.
  • Maintaining strong relationships and effective communication with participants, carers, relevant community organisations for coordination of participant service delivery.
  • Actively participate in and promote the program to identify activities and ensure successful Community Engagement outcomes.
  • Ensuring the centre budget is maintained and the client hours and engagement increase.

Qualifications:

In addition to a self-directed passion and drive to support a team and others within the community, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams.
  • Ability to interact cooperatively and supportively with a wide range of people who are frail, aged or other individuals receiving services from EACH.
  • Knowledge of the leisure and health needs of older people living in the community as well as their diverse physical, social, emotional and cultural needs.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, volunteers, families, clients, carers and other professionals as part of a team or sole worker.
  • Mandatory Qualification/s, Competencies and/or Licences:_
  • Minimum Diploma level in Aged Care services or appropriate qualification and /or experience in the area of Community Services
  • Current statebased driver's license
