We are looking for a dedicated professional to lead our procurement and contract management efforts, ensuring adherence to the highest standards. By providing expert guidance on procurement, tendering, and commercial management practices, you will play a vital role in meeting government and educational standards.

Join the Internal Procurement Unit (IPU) in the Finance Department, where you will collaborate with a small yet dynamic team to drive strategic procurement, contract management, tendering, business analysis, and commercial advisory services. Selected Duties:

  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate efficient procurement, contract, and commercial management processes to meet VGPB and Institute compliance requirements.
  • Offer guidance, support, and direction to Institute staff in developing and maintaining institute-wide procurement, contract, and tendering management processes.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of procurement and contracting procedures to ensure compliant results.
  • Coordinate the management of contracts and procurement activities in alignment with statutory requirements.
  • Manage the functions of the Internal Procurement Unit to reflect the Institute's strategic goals.

About You

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Degree and experience, extensive experience in procurement, or a combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Procurement experience in private or public service/government settings.
  • Desirable: Qualification in Procurement or Contract Management (e.g., Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
  • Desirable: Previous experience in ICT and/or Construction procurement in public/government environments.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of VGPB procurement policy.
