Job Description:

Our Family:

  • We are looking for an additional babysitter/ nanny to support our busy family. We have 3 kids 1, 4 and and have some care gaps across the week. From mid May, we will need someone regularly for 56 hours on a Thursday (timing can be flexible) and 34 hours on a Tuesday. Throughout August we will need someone 10 hours on a Wednesday. So essentially we are looking for someone with flexibility.

Your Duties:

  • Looking after between 13 kids depending on day/ time of day at home, or at local parks (licence required as we don't live near public transport, but unlikely to be driving the kids)
  • Meal prep for the kids throughout the day and potentially evening meal for family
  • Bathtime for kids if working between 56pm. Need to be very mindful of the safety of the baby
  • Designing fun activities, sharing their love of books and getting them outside as much as possible (with sun protection)

Our Perfect Caregiver:

  • We are looking for someone who loves spending time with kids who is cautious and caring, but also fun and creative. The kids love craft, music and reading. The big two are often tired after school and kindy but love drawing/ craft/ cooking as well as swimming, trampoline and other outdoor activities. The kids don't watch TV/ have screen time so we are looking for someone who is happy to honour this and to come up with ideas and be creative in how to spend the day and focus on chasing their ideas. Experience with little ones is critical our baby is 14 months, not yet walking and at that age of wanting to be in everything, sucking everything and falling over constantly. Helping him explore and learn and keeping him safe is top priority The primary focus of this role is the care of the kids but some family meal preparation and keeping the toys/ kitchen/ main areas tidy is also important. Occasionally if bub is asleep, it would be great if you could also fold some washing.
