Your role


Unique opportunity to utilise your expertise and skills in social media, leadership and key stakeholder management to represent, advise and implement this Government Department's Social Media strategies.


What you'll do


As part of the Communications Branch within the Corporate Services division, you will develop, implement and maintain the department's social media channels, providing advice on social media marketing strategies to all business units in the department.


You will manage a high-performing team responsible for developing and delivering a broad range of social media content on a variety of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube.


You will also monitor trends in social media, analysing and reporting the impact and effectiveness of the department's social media channels.


You'll work as part of a collaborative and respectful team of communications professionals, who are working flexibly from brand new headquarters in Parramatta.


What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated indepth understanding of industryleading social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube and their use as strategic communication and engagement tools in a complex environment.
  • Proven high level of responsibility for determining appropriate team actions undertaken within government and legislative policies, and for ensuring quality control in the implementation of teamwork.
  • Ability to maintain independence to develop a suitable approach in managing a team, allocating resources, determining the conceptual framework towards projects and development of strategic plans.
  • Tertiary qualifications in media/communications/digital and social media marketing and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
