About the Company We are working with a prominent project management consultancy that has been asked to supply construction and project management services by a mining company during construction of a tailings dam in Western Australia.
This specialist consultancy seconds white collar professionals to represent the client's interests during the execution of construction and engineering projects.
About the Role This SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER role will see you working client-side seconded into the client's team to represent their interests by monitoring the construction works.
As SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER you will be working FIFO 4 days on, 3 days off ex-Perth (11 hour days), while based onsite at a WA mine to oversee a Tier 1 civil contractor undertaking the civil construction works involving extensive bulk earthworks and TSF remediation.
You will join a high-quality project management team on contract basis for the next 12-18 months, to oversee the delivery of the scope of work as per the client's requirements.
This role will suit an experienced SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER who has previously worked for top tier civil contractors on similar bulk earthworks related mining projects (ie.TSF dams, embankments, access roads, rail formation), and who has recently made the jump to work client side.
A compelling reason to apply for this role is that along with the short 4/3 FIFO roster, is that it will pay $100-110/hr + Super, an excellent contract rate on long-term basis.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 7+ years' experience as a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER or Project Manager working for civil contractors in Australia Experience delivering minesite bulk earthworks and civil infrastructure projects is essential, and preferably in WA Either proven client side experience experience delivering mineiste civil projects or willingness to jump to the client side to oversee a civil contractor on a large bulk earthworks project Strong understanding of project delivery sequencing and construction methodology Strong all-round communication skills to liaise with the head contractor and client representatives.
