The role & team

  • We have a unique opportunity for a selfdriven Paralegal to join our Legal, Risks and Projects department. Reporting into the Legal Resource Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the comprehensive franchise documentation workflow. This involves document production and execution procedures, ensuring adherence to the Franchise Code of Conduct, and taking charge of entity management processes as needed. In your role you will also undertake various entity governance and compliance duties as required to ensure entities remain compliant with lodgement obligations of ASIC, Companies Office, and/or any other legislative requirements. Your efforts will be instrumental in driving the accomplishment of our Specsavers plans and supporting the overarching objectives of the Legal Resource Team.
  • This role will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne.

The skills we are looking for

  • Experienced Paralegal role in an inhouse Legal team or commercial setting
  • Demonstrated document drafting experience to a highly competent level and great attention to detail
  • A high level of written and spoken grammar and punctuation
  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment, initiative, diplomacy, tact and discretion and proven ability to handle sensitive telephone calls, information, and materials in a confidential and appropriate manner
  • Experience in dealing with franchising matters and processing ASIC lodgements is desirable
