ABOUT US:


Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is a Queensland Statutory Authority established to regulate the building industry and ensure maintenance of proper building standards and remedies for defective building work.

QBCC also serves to educate, protect and support the community and the Industry via licensing and registers, education, dispute resolution and adjudication, enforcing compliance and managing the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.

Primary purpose of the position
Key outcomes/Accountabilities

The aim of this role is to:

  • Providing expert advice to staff of all levels in regards to how they should plan and conduct procurement processes with a particular focus on high value and strategic procurement;
  • Leading and supporting the business to undertake procurement processes by developing and reviewing significant procurement plans, go to market documents, evaluation plans, evaluation reports and development of contract management plans;
  • Implementation of strategic procurement planning including annual Agency Procurement Plans;
  • Developing and maintaining QBCC procurement policies, procedures and guidance material in alignment with the Queensland Procurement Policy and other wholeof government procurement related policy requirements;
  • Monitoring and reporting on procurement performance and compliance measures, and undertake analysis to inform forward planning of procurement activities;

This role reports to the Director, Procurement and operates effectively providing leadership in a small team, with no direct reports.
