For the 21/22 harvest, we broke over 90 records, and a total 21.3 million tonnes delivered CBH's network of 120+ receival sites.

It's enough grain to fill Optus Stadium 17 times over It's a mammoth task to receive this much grain in a short harvest window, store it and export it via road and rail networks to one of our four shipping ports in WA.


The Role
We are seeking a safety focused

Electrician to join our hardworking maintenance team at Metro Grain Centre in

Forrestfield on a permanent basis.


This is a dayshift only position primarily Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm with overtime and shift coverage available and may be the requirement in busier periods such as harvest.

A typical day will see you undetaking preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed and portable machinery.

This will include diagnosing and fault-finding PLC controlled equipment, which includes but not limited to elevators and conveyors, trippers and dust systems.

This role will also require you to have basic computer skills to be able to use and understand SAP.

About You:

  • Current WA Electrical Workers License
  • Current hazardous area installation certification
  • Hold an unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Have demonstrated experience in fixed plant maintenance, diagnostics and problem solving
  • Be able to work at heights, confined spaces and in areas with high grain dust concentrations
  • Possess intermediate computer skills

Possession of the following is desirable:

  • HR or MR Drivers Licence
  • Confined Space Ticket
  • Working at Heights Ticket
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • HV Switching Ticket
  • Experience in PLC Unity and Proworx N.X.T
  • Experience in operating SAP Maintenance modules, automation and PLC control systems
