About the role


The
Principal Portfolio Analyst is a
permanent opportunity within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) located in our Brisbane CBD office.

The key function of the role is to provide specialised skills in portfolio performance analysis, dashboard reporting, and process improvements that will optimise the delivery of capital and infrastructure projects and support the whole-of-business strategic alignment.


As part of a small collaborative team, you will be responsible for delivering the portfolio performance reporting, engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, while driving the EPMO's performance forum to ensure that all activities are focused towards achieving the desired portfolio outcomes.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive analysis and reporting on the portfolio, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Preparing investment portfolio, program and project reporting to present insights to relevant governance forums and key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring portfolio progress and performance, regularly updating stakeholders on the status of the broader portfolio achievements.
  • Understanding the critical role that a portfolio analyst plays in the successful delivery of projects, aligning strategic investments with objectives and benefits.
This is not your typical analytics and reporting role.

Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, conveying information from large data sets to executives and business stakeholders for decision-making purposes.
