Job Description:

How Will I Help?

As a Tech Lead UI within our Digital Engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in creating and maintaining technical solutions to meet the changing needs of our customers and employees. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert technical guidance to GroupTech and Application Development Services teams.
  • Engaging in hands-on coding when necessary to ensure the strength and scalability of our UI solutions.
  • Owning different parts of applications and becoming the go-to expert for each solution.
  • Tackling challenges with enthusiasm, especially those related to scale, performance, and security.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across both the business and technical sides.
  • Promoting agile methodologies and implementing Lean and Design Thinking principles.
  • Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of applications at all stages.

What Do I Need?

Technical and Industry Expertise:

  • At least 8 years of IT experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS, Redux, and NodeJs.
  • Proficiency in writing automated tests for front end and back end using test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Ava, Supertest.
  • Skills in developing applications with SPA architecture, build systems, cross-browser compatibility, HTML5/CSS layout (SASS included), UI/UX knowledge, and wireframing.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience with Microservices and Swagger.
  • Familiarity with design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum/Agile development and continuous delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Ability to mentor developers and review code for quality.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to GraphQL, NodeJS/ExpressJS, TypeScript, Webpack, NPM, Angular.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture and modern IT strategies.
  • Experience in a large organization with knowledge of scaling engineering and security standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
  • Passion for DevOps principles and practices.
  • Integration experience with business systems.
  • Knowledge of Digital domain and agile team environments.
  • Proficiency in system instrumentation with monitoring and alerting.
