What does your role look like?

Start the next chapter in your career as Tassal's new Stakeholder & Community Engagement Manager. We are seeking someone with passion for building and maintaining a community of supporters.

Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Affairs & Community, this brand new role is a great chance to work with a Tasmanian born and bred institution.


We are looking for someone who can:

  • Manage and engage in Tassal's community engagement function, including participating in various events such as school breakfasts, community days; and can represent Tassal within the community.
  • Develop and execute a strategic stakeholder engagement program across key jurisdictions.
  • Lead Tassal's Community Advisory Groups and community notifications process, ensuring local communities receive considered, proactive advice about operations in key areas.
  • Lead two direct reports and also provide strategic oversight for Tassal's Seafood Shop in Salamanca ensuring that the Shop delivers value for both Tassal and the community.


This full-time position is based at our gorgeous waterfront office in Hobart and offers a unique opportunity to travel and work on projects across the country.

You will support and build relationships across a broad range of community partners.

To be successful in this position you will already have the following experience:

  • A flexible, selfmotivated and collaborative team player with excellent project management skills, initiative, attention to detail, and a professional and positive attitude
  • Communications skills, with an ability to engage acrossbusiness and stakeholders to develop clear communications, presentations, agendas and strategic advice
  • Extensive time spent working with and building effective relationships with a diverse crosssection of business, community and political stakeholders
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver events in community in partnership with key stakeholders
