About the role
  • We are seeking a Network Engineer with NV2 clearance to work on developing, configuring, and maintaining key components of a Defence stand-alone network under the guidance of the Project Manager and Solutions Architect.
About you
  • Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of a Defence stand-alone network, including:
    • Network support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
    • Lead design, build, test, and configuration tasks for network elements in an agile-like environment.
    • Create Build Instructions, detailed designs, and network specifications.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Data Centre Architecture – Network, Compute, and Storage.
    • Cisco Enterprise Networking skills.
    • Software Defined Networking knowledge.
    • Network Security Design expertise.
    • Experience with CISCO & Juniper networking.
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Understanding of Storage solutions and VMware Cloud Foundation.
    • Familiarity with Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T.
    • Knowledge of DMVPN, Juniper networking, and JUNOS.
    • Experience in Disaster Recovery and active-active data centers.
    • Expertise in management network design and tools.
  • Desirable:
    • Firewall rulesets.
    • Knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 frameworks.
    • Skills in Windows Server 2016/2019.
  • Ability to ensure security awareness and follow best practices.
  • Experience in Network Operation Centre.
  • Background in AGILE development environment.
  • Proven ability in developing Detailed Designs and Build Instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and enhance technical knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of network experience in industry and Defence.
  • CCNP or CCIE level skills required.
