Description

B2 AME and LAME - Dubbo NSW

The RFDS South Eastern Section is seeking applications from suitably qualified Avionics (B2) Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) and Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME) to conduct maintenance on King Air aircraft and a Level 6 High-Fidelity Flight Training Device (fixed base simulator) at Dubbo Airport in regional NSW.

The role

As a crucial member of the Dubbo Engineering base, you'll have the opportunity to work for a globally renowned iconic aeromedical organization with a 95-year history. You'll be part of a team of dedicated professionals who deliver exceptional service. Reporting to the Senior Base Engineer, this position involves coordinating and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and the Flight Training Device.

  • Coordinating and performing maintenance on aircraft and the Flight Training Device (FTD) in compliance with certification standards
  • Ensuring maintenance tasks meet the highest safety and quality standards
  • Managing timely completion of maintenance and engineering tasks
  • Supervising unlicensed engineers, apprentices, and/or contractors as needed
  • Ensuring accurate completion of maintenance documentation
  • Maintaining RFDS aircraft and FTD within licensing requirements and maintenance manuals
  • Promoting safety practices in the workplace and using the RFDS Safety Management System
  • Maintaining personal tools according to RFDS' procedures manual

To be eligible for this role, you should have:

  • Experience as an avionics AME, preferably holding a B2 AME license
  • Kingair B200 and/or B300 ratings and experience or the ability to obtain such ratings
  • Desirable simulator maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Strong time management abilities and adaptability to change
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
