Cliftons in Canberra is seeking well-rounded hospitality stars to join our events delivery team on a casual basis.

Your general responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact to greet daily meet and greet with course instructors and delegates
  • Assisting with administration requests ie: printing, handling course materials, producing daily reports
  • Ensuring the event rooms and client spaces are clean and highly presentable
  • Setting up and/or packing down the event rooms
  • Maintain client break out area and coffee stations (including stock replenishment)
  • Refresh rooms during client break times
  • Assisting the inhouse Chef with basic food prep as well as general kitchen duties ie: washing, polishing, and clearing dishes from dining area
  • Ensure catering is setup correctly as per client requests

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Some experience in hospitality, venues, or events management
  • Plenty of energy and physical fitness moving furniture to set up rooms
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service ethic
  • Strong attention to detail and being able to remain calm under pressure
  • Willingness to take direction and guidance from managers and other senior staff
  • Exceptional personal grooming
  • Ability to work variety of shifts including evenings and weekends

These are casual roles and hours are based on a roster. Flexible availability is key as coverage for evening and occasional weekend shifts will be required.
