About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian who wants to make a difference The Grade 2 Dietitian primarily based at Maroondah Hospital provides expert dietetic care across a range of clinical areas including general dietetic outpatient clinic, inpatient wards and shifts on alternate Saturdays.
Clinical supervision is an important part of our everyday practice and is supported widely by the Eastern Health Dietetics Department.
Eastern Health Dietetics operates from many different locations, with our largest sites including Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre & Wantirna Health.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Eligible for membership of the Dietitians Australia (DA) and the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program
- Holder of a current Driver's Licence
- Well consolidated postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated advanced dietetic skills across a range of clinical areas in the Acute & Aged Medicine, including Dietetic Outpatient Clinics
- Demonstrated multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop evidence based and innovative dietetic services
- Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of research and quality improvement activities
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and education
- Demonstrated experience in Dietetic student clinical education & training
- Availability for possible weekend rostering if required
- DESIRABLE: Demonstrated advanced dietetic skills across a range of clinical areas in the Acute & Aged Medicine, including Dietetic Outpatient Clinics
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.
