YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Customs Broker located in our Banksmeadow NSW offices, you will closely collaborate with our classifier and compliers to efficiently complete import customs entries accurately. Acting as a mediator between various stakeholders, such as importers, government agencies, and non-government entities, your role will be to ensure compliance with government acts, regulations, and policies, thereby contributing to upholding our reputation for excellence and dependability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Specifically, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with all Government Acts, regulations, and policies
  • Accurately process customs declaration information based on importer/client data
  • Lodge customs entries in alignment with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), making up approximately 50% of your responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding service for internal and external customers, promptly addressing their needs and expectations
  • Guide classifiers and compliers for precise and timely processing of customs entries, classifications, and border holds
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

The suitable candidate will have substantial experience as a customs broker in Australia, a deep understanding of local customs regulations and procedures, and:

  • Valid Australian customs broker licence
  • Strong expertise in customs declarations, tariff classification, border compliance, and quarantine formalities
    • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex customs issues and offer solutions
  • A customer-centric mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service.

Additionally, successful candidates must demonstrate work rights and provide suitable professional references, undergo a medical assessment, and a national police check.
