The immediate focus will be on the delivery of a complex landmark building with a total project value in excess of $300M, including managing complex infrastructure works, and establishing a plan for the transition to operation of a complex laboratory facility.

The project is currently in ECI phase with a Tier One contractor working towards agreeing a final GMP for the Main Works contract.


Specific responsibilities include:
Working collaboratively with the ECI contractor to complete value engineering activities and finalise project scope for delivery.

Manage the formal governance structure, comprising internal executive stakeholders and provide advice and recommendations to inform key project decision outcomes.

Implement the procurement and delivery strategies that ensure optimal project outcomes in accordance with the projects approved parameters.
Oversee the preparation contract documentation and take responsibility for the management of commercial and legal negotiations.
Provide regular management reports on the progress for internal executive stakeholders.
Build effective relationships with project partners to ensure high quality outcomes.
You will ideally have tertiary qualifications in construction, project management, engineering or a related property discipline with

significant experience in management and delivery of large scale built form projects (i.e. $100m+), including through D&C and ECI models .


Specifically, a Science/ Health/ Laboratory background would be ideal with experience in working client side in project management delivery with a solid understanding of the commissioning and operationalisation of complex laboratory type facilities.

The ability to successfully build collaborative and consultative relationships with stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams is also necessary.
