Discover life-giving possibilities
Lifeblood is more than just a job or a career, it's an opportunity to be part of something that matters. As an organisation, our purpose is simple: to give life. Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.
About the role
This critical senior role will be pivotal in running one of our Agile Release Trains, the Digital Donor Experience ART. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). As the RTE you will provide the support needed by the teams within the ART to be self-organising and self-managing. In this role you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of the ART's prioritised backlog items, assist the agile teams in delivering value whilst escalating impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
You will build a high performing team culture to ensure delivery outcomes are achieved and sustainable, and that ART productivity/velocity increases as the ART continues to mature. You naturally listen closely and support teams in problem identification and decision making, create an environment of mutual influence, understand and empathise with others, keep a continual focus on talent development of team members and coach people with powerful questions rather than using authority.
Parallel to the above you will manage ART funding requests for each program increment, report on delivery progress and facilitate the ART events and processes.
Sound interesting? Here's what we are looking for;
- Proven expertise in performing Release Train Engineer role previously or leading multiple concurrent agile teams in large to medium size organisations
- Demonstrated expertise implementing an ART in complex large to medium size organisations
- In-depth practical hands-on understanding of applying SAFe framework across an ART
- Significant experience in Business &/or Technology based delivery and experienced in adaptive delivery models and mindsets to assist teams in delivering value
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to inspire, mentor, coach and develop others
- Track record in facilitating PI planning events and workshops in collaboration with agile scrum masters
- Ability to handle competing priorities requiring significant stakeholder engagement with Executive and Senior Leaders
- Strong strategic planning capabilities with an ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people demonstrating both soft and technical skills
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a genuine hybrid working model between Lifeblood offices (on site as needed) and working from home.
Thrive in a diverse culture that cares for your wellbeing
We're a diverse and inclusive bunch. We're proud to foster an environment where all people can come together to achieve their very best.
