Altara Personnel (Part of Altara Group) are already the leading providers of casual staff for hospitality in aged care. We are now looking to diversify and introduce Personnel Care Attendants (PCA) to our pool. We are looking for experienced PCA's to be part of this exciting new journey.

Your Role

  • Providing a range of support and personal care services to our residents
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships within the team, with our customers and family members
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our residents safe.
  • Providing meaningful experiences which enable our residents to thrive.
  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
  • Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Observing and reporting on changes in the health or status of the client
  • Taking vitals, height, and weight
  • Maintaining clients' health equipment
  • Responding to emergency situations
  • Assisting clients with rehabilitative exercises

About You

  • A truly customercentric approach with the passion to deliver real 'care' to residents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work morning, afternoon and night shifts across a sevenday roster.
  • A positive and professional approach

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications eg: Certificate III in Individual Support
  • A driver's licence and access to a reliable car
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID 19, including the Booster and Influenza
  • Clear and effective communications skills
  • The ability to obtain or obtained NDIS worker screening clearance.
  • A copy of your Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Infection Control Certificate
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.
