About the Business

The Change and Communications team is responsible for change management and communications across Bankwest. Change and Communications facilitates the coordination and sustainable delivery of change initiatives from transformational to operational across Bankwest.


The team acts as the voice of colleagues and customers in relation to change delivery, ensuring that change will be customer and colleague centric in execution, rolling out predictable, strategically aligned change packages when and how colleagues want and expect it.


The team works closely with tribes/squads/lines of business to ensure their solutions are accompanied by change & communications plans that will enable change managers to successfully prepare, deliver and embed change across Bankwest and with colleagues and customers.

As the Change Partner, we will develop and execute change plans using appropriate methodologies, change guardrails and templates and support leaders to embed initiatives in a fast-moving organisation.

Your Impact and Contribution

To ensure all change which impacts our customers and/or colleagues is planned,

assessed appropriately, delivered and embedded efficiently and effectively.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Lead line of business change or support complex Bankwestwide or crossdivisional change
  • Design and deliver appropriate change strategies and plans which enable successful end to end implementation and embedding of line of business change
  • Act as 'voice of customers and colleagues' in relation to change design & delivery
  • Support people leaders in the delivery and embedding of change
  • Advise, coach and support colleagues in the planning and delivery of change
  • Provide input to the development and roll out of predictable and familiar change programmes around core investment themes or develop and roll out predictable and familiar change 'packages'
  • Manage and execute change including impact assessments, development of material and readiness assessments
  • Embed and assess the effectiveness of change delivery
  • Responsible for compliance with Bankwest change practices, tools and standards
  • Responsible for effective management of change risks
Your skills and Experience

  • A proven track record in driving the delivery, implementation and embedding of line of business change in a timely manner
  • Sound stakeholder management skills
  • Sound influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, mediate and drive resolution of issues and / or areas of contention
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues in the planning and delivery of change
  • Tertiary qualification or accreditation in a related discipline e.g. PROSCI, Project Management, Communications, Six Sigma (desirable)
