This is an exciting opportunity. The apprenticeship is based out of our Albury, NSW site.


The role will be working alongside Maintenance Engineers for Corrective, Preventive and Overhauling of Electro-mechanical Components of 4GT Millenium fleets.


As an
Electrical
Apprentice you will:

  • Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current applicable standards
  • Understand and follow work instructions, Standard Operating Sheets and Task Sequencing
  • Support secondary level fault finding
  • Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification
  • Use work related IT Systems to record progress of operations and status of issues.


The successful applicant will be self-motivated, team orientated, have a strong work ethic and will undertake activities in a safe manner, in accordance with Alstoms workplace health and safety rules.


Desired Experience:

  • Working to procedures, work instructions & maintenance instructions
  • Knowledge, and practical experience of train component maintenance
  • Ability to carry out fault finding, reading schematic diagrams, work to technical instructions
  • Proficient verbal and written skills
  • Able to pass pre employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol test
  • Can do attitude
  • Willingness to learn and be trained
  • Good communication skills
