Buller Sports is a leading rental and retail operator in the Mt Buller/Mansfield area, with 8 stores and a team dedicated to delivering to our guests the best possible mountain experience, all day, every day.

We are looking for enthusiastic, pro-active, and lively people to join our passionate team for the busy 2023 winter season at Mt Buller.

You will be up for pulling together with your team, bunking in shared accommodation, and facing the unique challenges of the alpine environment.

What YOU will be responsible for;
Your work as a Certified Ski Technician will place you in an energetic team environment. You will need to be willing to go the extra mile for our customers, and your team.

  • Providing a superior customer experience for all Mt Buller guests
  • Contributing your energy and enthusiasm to a positive team environment
  • Safe and correct setup of guests' boots, skis, and snowboards
  • Educating guests, and other staff on the care and use of their equipment
  • Working with specialized ski & snowboard servicing machinery
  • Keeping up to date with ski & snowboard service knowledge, and skills
  • Working closely with, and as part of the rental/retail team when required
  • Ensuring the upkeep, and maintenance of the Altitude Buller Sports rental fleet
  • Supporting the management team in the implementation of promotions, visuals, store maintenance, and all other sales functions
  • Identifying, and anticipating the needs of guests, whilst resolving any problems efficiently, and tactfully
  • Complying with all company, store and area operational, OHS, environmental policies, and procedures
  • Representing Mt Buller, Buller Ski Lifts, and the Buller Way
What YOU will bring;
You must have a passion for the snow, with a thirst to learn more about this unique industry. You are self-motivated, cheerful, and keen to experience the mountain life style.

  • Proven experience in the rental, retail, or guest service industry
  • Mechanical, and technical skills
  • Patience and understanding
  • An unyielding work ethic
  • Experience with POS
  • The ability to handle pressure & multitasking
  • Excellent communication & teamwork skills
  • High regard for personal appearance and presentation
  • The ability to work varying schedules; including day, evening, and weekend shifts

Qualifications & Experience;

  • Minimum 2 years Rental experience
  • Minimum 1 year ski technician experience
  • Ski Technician certification or relevant qualification preferred
  • Experienced skier/snowboarder, with an understanding of the demands of the sport
