About the Opportunity


As the Cardiac Technician you will work as an essential member of the Cath Lab team by providing high quality care to all patients and clinical and professional support to our multidisciplinary team.

Additionally, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Care, maintenance and re-calibration of the multi-channel recorder, cardiac stimulator and generator
  • Operation of the multichannel recorder, cardiac stimulator, and generator during EPS/RFA procedures
  • Assist nursing staff with preparation of the patient for their Cath lab procedure
  • Monitoring the condition of patients during procedures, and reporting changes to the physician / registered nurse
This position will require your flexibility and ability to meet on-call requirements for department needs.

Your Essential Skills and Experience:

You will demonstrate a commitment to professional practice, best clinical outcomes and a keen interest in continued professional development.

  • ECG Interpretation qualifications
  • Recent previous experience working in a cardiac catheterisation laboratory / angiography suite
  • Experience in electrophysiology, radiofrequency ablation and pacing procedures
  • Basic understanding of infection control principles

Desirable:

  • CEPIA Vocational Graduate Diploma of Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Familiarity with MacLab and CardioLab Systems
