Who are we?
The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to be implemented locally.


As an NDIA partner, Northcott will deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, Northern Sydney and Western Sydney.

The EC approach supports the activities that will improve the independence and social participation of children aged 0-9 years with developmental delay and/or disability.


What does this role look like daily?
You will engage with a child and their family at several points along the journey.

Each day will have different and often competing challenges for you to assess and demonstrate knowledge around, including but not limited to:

  • Knowledge of 09 developmental milestones and the impact of known & unknown disability on children and their families support networks
  • Meeting Early Intervention Access with the NDIA
  • Receiving and interpreting various reports from allied health professionals and conveying that information to the family in a way that is easily understood
  • Liaise with community groups, overcome language barriers, respect and be culturally responsive to various community groups across Lismore and surrounding areas.

The skills and experience we are looking for include:

  • Minimum Diploma tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Early Childhood Education, Allied Health Professions or other relevant professional field
  • Understanding the importance of implementing a tailored and personalised approach to children and their families one size does not fit all.
  • Moderate report writing and IT skills, including database management, as you will write reports and provide details to the NDIA on a child's developmental and functional abilities, so proficient use of a computer is essential
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Experience providing support to families using a familyfocused and strengthsbased approach
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and implementing evidencebased early childhood intervention strategies with families using a capacitybuilding approach

Other requirements include:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • P1 minimum
  • Valid Working with Children's Check Clearance mandatory
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC) or willingness to obtain mandatory
  • Working Rights in Australia for Full-Time Employment
  • Fully vaccinated (including boosters) in accordance with current Northcott Requirements _(unless granted an exemption)._
  • Successful preemployment police check

The role will be based out of our Coffs Harbour office, covering the local region as it involves some travel to meet the child and families/carers in their community and home environment.
