A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage a skilled Cyber Security Architect to join a highly skilled team. In this you will assist with providing 'secure by design' information security architecture services to the Department and portfolio agency environments. The successful Cyber Security Architect will be offered a 12 month contract with 2 x 12 months of extension options

The successful Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Develop and refine the department's enterprise security architecture framework and services catalogue.
  • Effectively engage with stakeholders on cyber security architecture activities, including the development and refinement of security architecture patterns.
  • Provide expert risk, assurance, and compliance advice to the department's business areas to understand, identify and document key controls to ensure key risks and compliance obligations are adequately managed.

The successful Cyber Security Architect will have experience in the following:

  • Experienced information security architecture specialist with a sound understanding of the ISM, Essential 8, and PSP.
  • Tertiary education and certifications in ICT security, assurance and architectural domains are desirable however not mandatory.
  • Developed and maintained effective working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the division, department, and portfolio.
  • Provided expert security architecture advice to facilitate the secure delivery of ICT services in supports of the department's international mission objectives.
