We're currently seeking a dedicated and skilled National HSEQ Manager on a 6-month contract working full-time hours, Monday to Friday.

You will need to be flexible to travel interstate for work when required.


In this role, you will be instrumental in the development, implementation, assessment, and refinement of a strong occupational health and safety management plan and spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety ensuring that our environment is conducive to the well-being of all employees.

About You

  • 4+ years' experience in identical or similar role
  • Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety along with Cert IV in Training & Assessment is essential
  • Proven extensive knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations
  • Qualification, demonstrable knowledge, and understanding of ReturntoWork requirements
  • Experience using the incident reporting tool ICAM is desirable
  • Understanding of ISO Quality Standard 9001:2015 is desirable
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and conflictresolution skills with high level problemsolving and investigation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work demands and deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic with a growth mindset.
  • Flexible to travel interstate for work when required.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the business's Quality Assurance compliance documentation.
  • Continuously review and maintenance of all HSEQ policies, procedures, work instructions and process map documentation in compliance with ISO Quality 9001:2015 standards
  • In collaboration with the Director, HSEQ, identify and source training providers and schedule training for all Normet employees nationally.
  • Maintain HSEQ metrics and data management systems and undertake reporting requirements
  • Lead safety awareness and compliance activities nationally including communication via the relevant platforms
  • Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, identify actions and make appropriate recommendations for future improvements
  • Identify risks, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and monitor outcomes
  • Contribute to the design and development of safety initiatives aligned with Normet Global and local strategies
  • Undertake and coordinate quarterly safety audits
  • Actively participate and provide support to managers in preparation of reporting and internal/external audits
  • Work cohesively and professionally with Normet's internal and external customers. Provide correct technical and accurate advice on safety issues where required.
