Metso Outotec is looking for a Trainee Inspector to join the team in the Henderson workshop. If you are currently looking for a more technical role and have experience in precision measurement, then this could be the role for you

RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE
Attend daily prestart meetings & contribute in a positive way to drive production efficiencies
Work closely with the QAQC team leader to assist with completing required inspections
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives working with the QAQC team lead and the Workshop supervisor
Assist with the delivery of on-the-job training to Apprentices and other team members within inspection and or QAQC

Responsible for assisting in mechanical repairs, component refurbishment and service activities relating to Metso Outotec OEM Equipment components, complete machines, and spare parts.

Assist with ensuring all calibrated equipment is kept up to date, and filed away on the online system correctly
Perform operational maintenance of measuring equipment relating inspection and or QAQC
Liaise with the Repair Coordinators when required to ensure full safety & mechanical compliance of all refurbishment equipment
Can move from one task to another as required to meet production schedules.
Responsible for assisting with performing inspection and assessment on equipment

Assist with the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives proactively working with the QAQC team lead, Leading Hand and Workshop Supervisor.

Assist in the investigation of customer queries regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered condition of products.

Records and informs relevant personnel of production quality assurance and disposition of customer requirements specific to job progress and status.

Employee can be asked to assist in other areas and tasks as lawfully directed by the supervisor and or Leading hand

Stopping work activities and acting, if there is a belief that there may be an uncontrolled risk to the Employee or other people.


TO SUCCEED
Advanced technical skills relating to tolerances, fits and condition
Precision measuring experience and skills.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting health, safety, and environment
Flexible and cooperative team attitude
WA Drivers licence.
Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
Forklift Certificate
Dogman Certificate
QA/QC process experience is desirable
