Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing commodity strategies to secure a sustainable and cost-effective supply of materials as a Junior Buyer at Siemens.
  • Contributing to the adoption and optimization of globally established methods, processes, and systems to improve operational efficiency and compliance, including the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, procurement protocols, and IT tools.
  • Leading negotiations for low to medium purchasing volumes within specific material categories, often collaborating with a Buyer or Senior Buyer to maximize cost savings.
  • Driving the identification, documentation, and execution of cost-saving initiatives, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business growth and ensure transparency in outcomes.
  • Playing a vital role in supplier management activities, including vendor assessment, selection, performance evaluation, development, and classification.
  • Enhancing supplier evaluation systems to nurture strong supplier relationships and uphold transparency, alongside fostering close partnerships with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure early engagement in procurement processes.
  • Proactively sharing essential procurement-related project updates, such as revised contract terms and supplier information, to keep all project stakeholders informed.

About you:

  • Holding a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Possessing prior experience or internships in procurement or supply chain management is advantageous
  • Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exhibiting excellent communication and negotiation proficiencies
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with procurement tools is a bonus
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
