We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a National Manager - Broker to join the team.

This role is responsible for overseeing, leading and growing the bank's third party distribution channel covering both aggregators, mortgage brokers and communications with the bank's peers in the mutual banking sector.

The National Manager - Broker will lead the Relationship Management Team and Broker Support Team to ensure success and an exceptional experience for all the bank's partners.

What you will be doing

  • Lead a team of the Relationship Manager Team and Broker Support Team to deliver growth and exceptional service and results
  • Build awareness about Bank Australia and our purpose across the broker network as a 'point of difference'.
  • Ensure new loan funding is within agreed pricing delegations
  • Ensure the current portfolio of loans remains within budget expectations and manage the third party channels budget
  • Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Ensure frontline staff understand the activities undertaken by Relationship Managers and Broker Support, maintaining and ensuring appropriate communication and information sharing
  • Ensure Relationship Managers attend relevant external activities to enable and support better understanding of the bank's products, policies, guidelines and expectations for the bank's broker partners
  • Set the team's performance objectives and undertake performance reviews.

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of lending
  • Effective communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant industry body membership/s
