The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia's newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Overnight Porter, reporting to the Senior Porter, is the primary point of contact for our valued guests and visitors. Your role will be diverse, from delivering luggage to guest rooms and parking or retrieving vehicles, to offering insights on local attractions and events to our guests.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Transport and store luggage as required by guests
  • Ensure efficient and courteous handling of all guest arrivals and departures
  • Ensure all guest enquiries and requests are handled professionally
  • Ensure current familiarity with hotel, including guest rooms, restaurants, bars, convention, and casino
  • Park and collect guest / patrons' vehicles promptly and without damage
  • Complete all valet dockets clearly and correctly
  • Assist Doorman as required

What we will be looking for


• A sincere dedication to delivering exceptional customer service

• Prior experience in a similar capacity

• Valid driver's licence

• Exceptional presentation and communication skills

• Affinity for the Brisbane area, including knowledge of the local community and its surroundings

• Strong organizational skills for coordinating guest requests and tasks

• Ability to work seamlessly within a team environment

About You

We are seeking dedicated individuals who have a sincere appreciation to deliver exceptional customer service. As a Porter with The Star Brisbane, you will have prior experience in a similar role and hold a valid driver's license.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional presentation and communications skills, while possessing a vast knowledge of the Brisbane area.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of the Hotels department at The Star Brisbane. Join us in making a difference.

About us

The $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.

When complete, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.
