The experience you will bring:

  • Demonstrated ownership of product outcomes throughout development and production.
  • Experience applying solid mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics to design challenges.
  • Capability to size, specify, select, and install common process equipment.
  • Proficiency in drafting 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
  • Strong understanding and application of drafting standards and GD&T principles.
  • Ability to design safe systems meeting relevant standards.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process development, facility layouts, and quality tools.

Bonus if you have:

  • Familiarity with food or bioprocessing equipment.
  • Engagement in experimenting with related hobbies or projects.
  • Experience with Siemens NX for drafting.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience.
  • Hands-on experience in fabricating stainless steel equipment.

You will:

  • Design and construct automated processing systems to scale Vow's manufacturing capacity significantly.
  • Engage users in system development and translate their requirements into hardware designs.
  • Collaborate with vendors to expedite parts sourcing.
  • Oversee fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
  • Ensure a seamless handover of systems to users and provide necessary support.
  • Help build a groundbreaking cultured meat factory as a pioneering prototype.

What success looks like:

  • Complete an ongoing automated food processing system within the first month.
  • Initiate the design and construction of a new processing system within 3 months.
  • Deliver multiple processing systems within the first year, enhancing quality and reducing costs.
