The Opportunity:

At Camp Blue, we do vacation care differently.

Based on the American summer camp model, our vacation care program incorporates fun activities with a vibrant atmosphere and community vibe.

Our staff are more than just educators, they are what we call Camp Counsellors.


A Camp Counsellor is an amazing type of human who performs a variety of roles within the Camp Blue program to ensure children are supported, happy, educated and safe.

It is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling jobs you can ever experience.


The best part is that you get to be a role model and mentor to children for the duration of each camp.

You not only lead sports and other activities with them, but also play a key role in supporting their decision-making and helping them feel understood.

The Requirements:


Camp Blue is always on the lookout for staff to join our Camp Counsellor team at each school holiday program.


  • 18 years of age or older
  • An overall passion for working with children outside of a classroom
  • An interest and ability to effectively teach a range of sporting and/or aquatic activities and skills to children
  • Comfort working in a fastpaced team environment
  • Integrity and adaptability
  • A cleared Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid and CPR certifications, or ability to obtain
Staff are contracted for the entirety of each holiday program (40 hours/week), with wages in accordance to the Children's Services Award 2010 (MA

Contract length: 2 weeks

Salary:
$ $1,100.00 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Manly, NSW 2095: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Working with Children Check (preferred)
  • First Aid Certification (preferred)
  • CPR Certification (preferred)
  • Bronze Medallion (preferred)
