    Anglo American Steelmaking Coal

Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.


Job Description:

  • The GSS Global Travel and Expense (T&E) Centre of Excellence (COE) Analyst will be responsible to deliver an effective and compliant T&E service which will encompass the provision of a travel wellness program and VIP T&E support activities for all Anglo American and De Beers Group Functions and Business Unit clients, within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLA). The incumbent will have strong knowledge of T&E services to deliver exceptional, ontime, high quality customer service


The Travel & Expense Analyst role will see you as the key point of contact for our Anglo American business-critical VIP travellers.

This exciting new position within the Global Shared Services (GSS) function will see you accountable for:

  • Ensure that the T&E ecosystems, procedures and processes are adhered whilst managing the delivery of services for clients
  • Communicate safety protocols to the VIP traveller whilst maintaining a trusting relationship
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are well communicated to the VIP traveller and or VIP travel booker and provide support
  • Establish and maintain a trusting relationship with VIP travellers and ensure that their travel profiles are kept up to date
  • Support a wellcontrolled environment where risk is reduced to an acceptable level ensuring that Anglo American VIP travellers feel safe and secure when travelling
  • Manage the process to follow up with VIP travellers and their travel bookers to gain an understanding of their travel experience and build improvements into the future service delivery.
  • Support the team in a travel crisis by alerting VIP travellers to be aware of safetyrelated issues in their travel destination

  • Deliver the Traveller Wellness Program ensuring all request/queries are treated with urgency and resolved in a timely manner with mitigating actions put in place to prevent reoccurrence
  • Act as the primary contact for the VIP traveller whilst travelling to address any concern or needs
  • Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Travel & Expense Management within a large corporation
  • Knowledge of online booking systems SAP Concur and Egencia (desirable)
  • Strong PC skills with a confident approach working with MS Office
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills
