About this exciting opportunity:

You will play a key role in our Enterprise Business Systems team at our primary office in South Brisbane. The main aim of this position is to deliver support and project services to both the SAP Applications and SAP technical teams.

This role offers a long-term, stable position where you will contribute significantly to our company's achievements. You will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining our SAP ABAP customizations, user exits, reports, and other ABAP-related components within our SAP ecosystem.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Tertiary education in computer science or related field.
  • Over 10 years of hands-on SAP experience at a Developer level.
  • Proficiency in both functional and technical aspects of Client System.
  • Technical professional with at least 3 full cycle SAP implementations, 2 upgrade projects, and 3 support projects under their belt.
  • Capability to identify and handle technical risks and challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to new products and take on additional duties.
  • Competent in providing insights for Pre-Design and Design Authorities.
  • Oversee technical architecture analysis, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure that the future operational architecture aligns with client expectations.
  • Supervise all technical SAP deliverables in coordination with project members. Maintain alignment of ABAP coding standards with customer requirements.
  • Offer guidance on technical strategies for systems integrated with SAP.
  • Develop and oversee the SAP systems maintenance timetable in collaboration with the Operations SAP change and release manager.
  • Handle all SAP technical modifications proficiently.
  • Proven expertise in resolving issues and optimizing performance (Essential).
  • Must possess ABAP programming skills along with solid knowledge of Fiori/UI.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in Change and Release management within an SAP setup (preferred).
