About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of St Vincent's Clinical Genomics.

The Clinical Research Assistant (Clinical Genomics) will work as part of a research and clinical team to improve access to research investment for patients and the institution through high quality research/clinical practice and data management.

Selection Criteria:

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
  • Holds tertiary degree in relevant health science related discipline or working towards the same eg. MGC, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, biomedical science and/or demonstrated experience in clinical health services research.
  • Demonstrated experience (or willingness to learn) in understanding of clinical patient intake and health services research including secure data management, participant recruitment and data collection, human research ethical and governance requirements/reporting, stakeholder management, research administration and coordination.
  • Experience working in or understanding of healthcare environments such as, a good understanding of medical terminology and/or basic understanding of clinical genomics.
  • Effective communication (written & oral), time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and autonomously within a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development and to workplace health and safety.
